In order to achieve maximum satisfaction of our guests, who like to enjoy a well-deserved relaxation after sports or a good hike in the South Šumava region, or just a simple moment “just for yourself”, we provide an “extra” to standard hotel services in the form of our private wellness studio, which is located directly in the main hotel building of “U Martina”.
Here our guests can indulge in absolute relaxation, both physical and mental, thanks to a range of relaxation services, which we offer as the only hotel not only in Rožmberk nad Vltavou, but also in the surrounding area, i.e. Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, whirlpool and solarium.
On colder days, we will prepare (if you make a booking at least 2 hours in advance) a perfectly heated Finnish sauna to about 90°C, which will relax you perfectly. You can choose the interior lighting of the sauna according to your wishes, not only in the basic colour range – colour therapy plays a very important role in the overall psyche and body regeneration, and so we will gladly adjust the sauna environment according to your mood and needs. You can choose from red, green, blue and yellow light and their combinations or direct light for reading. The maximum number of persons in the sauna is 4.
Taking a sauna in an infrared cabin is based on the principle of emitting infrared radiation through special ceramic radiators, which was patented by Dr. Tadashi Ishikawa in Japan in 1965. Infrared radiation heats the body deep into muscle tissue, and intense sweating occurs (compared to a conventional sauna) already at the temperature of around 50°C, which doesn’t put any excessive strain on your body. You breathe air at the temperature of 20 to 55°C throughout your stay in the cabin, as 80-90% of the radiated heat is absorbed directly by your body and the rest is dispersed within the cabin. This is the fundamental difference between a conventional sauna and an infrared sauna. The main benefits of regular use of an infrared sauna are relief for joints, strengthening of blood circulation, cleansing of the skin, cellulite reduction, weight loss and reduction of toxic substances.
Lovers of bubbles and relaxation will enjoy our whirlpool bath with water jets, aimed at all parts of the body to massage them simultaneously. You can control the intensity of the jets and bubbles as well as the lighting of the tub. Our whirlpool bath is designed for 2 persons.
Fans of bronze-coloured tan are welcome to use our solarium at a rate of 10 CZK/min.
